3D for USBank
- Agency: Intrinzic
- Senior Art Director: Todd Lipscomb
- Client: US Bank
- Challenge: Create a $100 as if it’s been modeled out of clay.
- 3D – Everything
In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve done quite a few pieces for USBank. This one was really a lot of fun.
Todd and I tried out several textures and at first, I liked the wood but in the end clay won the day. 3D allowed me to show this to Todd in several angles and textures, something you can’t do easily with photography.
This job stretched my skills. Having worked with Todd for about 4 years now, I had a feel for what he was after. With some feedback and input from some of the other AE’s and AD’s, we nailed down the angle, texture, look and feel that was needed.
The creative process is always amazing. With so many pieces I do, it’s always a team effort to get what the client wants and hopefully – exceed expectations.
One of the first 3d projects I did for Todd was (yes, you guessed it) a USBank job. Evansville had been hit with a horrible Ice storm and we lost power for 3 days and had a limb poke through the roof and ceiling of my daughters bedroom. I packed up the computer and camped at my mom’s apartment 10 miles away – with power – squeezed into a bedroom corner. Aside from missing a couple mornings talking with insurance agents, I stayed on top of Todd’s job and made the deadline. Todd was very understanding with the whole situation as was everyone at Intrinzic. – Thank you!
